Customization

Makeup Brush Customization Guide

From a single logo to a complete private-label line, customization is a set of decisions about shape, materials, branding and packaging — each one confirmed against a sample before bulk production.

How It Works

Customization is a series of choices

Every private-label brush is defined by a handful of decisions. You do not need them all fixed at the start — we help you settle them through sampling.

The brush itself is shaped first: the head form decides coverage, precision, product pickup and finish. Then the materials — synthetic hair, ferrule and handle — set the feel and the look. Finally the branding — color, logo and packaging — makes the product yours.

Each decision is practical, not decorative. A softer, denser head changes how powder lays down; a longer handle changes grip; a foil logo changes shelf presence. We confirm the combined result on a sample so the bulk run matches what you approved.

Customization Points

What can be customized

Nine specification points cover the brush, the branding and the packaging of a private-label project. Availability is confirmed during sampling.

01

Brush Shape

Face / Eye / Lip / custom brush functions

02

Brush Hair

Synthetic fiber. Different softness / density / finish options.

03

Ferrule

Shape, finish and color.

04

Handle

Wood, plastic, metal or other available materials. Material options available upon request.

05

Color

Custom brand colors across brush, ferrule and packaging.

06

Logo

Silk printing, hot stamping, laser engraving. Other logo options subject to product structure.

07

Packaging

Individual box, brush pouch, brush bag, gift box, set packaging.

08

Complete Set

Custom brush combinations, custom piece count, private-label packaging.

Brush Shape

Shape drives performance

The head shape is the first and most consequential decision. It determines coverage, precision, product pickup and the finish on skin — a flat foundation head lays product differently from a dense buffer, and a tapered blending head diffuses differently from a firm shader.

For a private-label line, shape is also how the product reads in a photo. A coherent set of head shapes signals a designed collection rather than a random assortment, which is why we recommend choosing shapes around the routine you want to cover.

Browse Brush Categories
  • Coverage

How much area a head covers in one pass

  • Precision

How tightly a head works into a small area

  • Pickup

How much product a head holds

  • Finish

How the product is laid down on skin

Brush Hair

Synthetic fiber, tuned for feel

We work with synthetic fiber options — no animal hair. Within synthetic, softness, density, flexibility, pickup and release can all be varied to suit the product and the routine.

Softness

Softer heads suit delicate application; firmer heads suit controlled placement.

Density

Denser heads hold more product and give fuller coverage.

Flexibility

More flexible heads bend with the skin; stiffer heads hold a precise edge.

Pickup

How much product the head draws from the pan or bottle.

Release

How cleanly the product transfers to skin without wasting it.

Finish

The combined result on skin — diffused, polished or buildable.

Ferrule

The connector, finished your way

The ferrule joins the head to the handle. Its shape, finish and color are all customizable, and together with the handle they define the visual identity of the brush more than any other single part.

Surface treatment — matte, gloss, brushed or colored — changes how the brush photographs and feels in the hand, so it is worth deciding deliberately rather than leaving it default.

Handle

The part buyers hold and recognize

Handle shape, length, diameter, grip, finish and color are all customizable. For a brand, the handle is the most visible and most repeatably recognizable element.

Shape

Round, flat, tapered or ergonomic — chosen for look and grip.

Length & diameter

Sized for the routine and the hand that uses it.

Grip

Balance and surface that suit the application.

Finish

Matte, gloss or soft-touch to match the brand.

Color

Brand color applied across the whole range.

Consistency

Held identical across reorders from the approved sample.

Color

A coordinated palette, not a stock option

Brand color can be applied to handles, ferrules and packaging so the whole line reads as one collection. A consistent palette is what makes a private-label range look designed rather than assembled.

Color is confirmed on the sample, because a screen color and a physical color are rarely identical. We match to your reference and lock it from the approved sample.

Where color applies

  • Handles
  • Ferrules
  • Packaging
  • Logo accent

Logo

Three logo methods, matched to the product

Logo can be applied by silk printing, hot stamping or laser marking, subject to the product structure. Send your logo file and we will confirm the most suitable method.

Silk printing

A flat, even logo on smooth handle or ferrule surfaces — the most common method for small text and simple marks.

Hot stamping

A metallic or colored foil pressed into the surface for a premium, light-catching finish.

Laser marking

An engraved mark with no ink, suited to darker handles and a subtle, durable result.

Subject to suitability

The best method depends on the product structure and surface. Send your logo file and we will confirm the most suitable option.

Complete Set

Set configuration

A set is a single retail product, not a list of components. We build the piece count, the brush combination and the packaging together so the finished set is coherent on shelf.

Standard configurations are 5, 8, 12, 24 and 32 pieces. Custom piece counts can be discussed for specific projects.

  • Custom brush combinations
  • Custom piece count
  • Coordinated handle and ferrule specification
  • Private-label packaging
  • Matching brush pouch, bag or case

Retail Packaging

Packaging chosen for the channel

Packaging is selected based on product type, brand positioning and order requirements — from a single carton to a private-label gift box.

For e-commerce, packaging is sized and weighted for efficient shipping while still arriving retail-ready. For retail and gifting, presentation and protection lead. We help you pick the format that fits where the product will be sold.

Individual box

A single brush in its own retail carton, protective and display-ready.

Paper card

A blister or sleeve on a printed card for cost-efficient retail presentation.

Brush pouch

A soft pouch for a small set or travel selection.

Brush bag

A rolled or zippered bag for a full set, with custom print available.

Gift box

A premium boxed set for gifting and seasonal collections.

Set & private-label packaging

Coordinated packaging carrying your brand across the whole line.

Sample Development

  • Shape and finish
  • Color match
  • Logo method and placement
  • Packaging format
  • Overall feel in the hand

Sampling avoids most specification disputes

Once a sample is approved, it becomes the reference for every bulk run. That is how repeat orders stay consistent with the first one.

Buyer Notes

What to keep in mind when customizing

  • Decide shape around the routine you want to cover, not in isolation.
  • Synthetic fiber is varied for softness, density and finish — not one default.
  • Color is confirmed on a physical sample, not a screen.
  • Logo method depends on the product surface — send your file early.
  • Packaging should match where the product will be sold.
  • The approved sample is the reference for every reorder.
